I found that if there is an awareness by evildoers that they can create a reaction or cause anxiety, bingo they accomplished what they wanted and that behavior will continue or increase. Equally, phone/computer hacking, constant planes or helicopters etc., observe and stay safe but let it go. Everyone's circumstances are different depending on one's living environment (apartments/house, city/rural), etc., so hard to share effective or value added feedback.
Fair to say that a 13 yo child is a critical phase of development that shapes their future. I applaud you or any mom or dad raising a child/ren as a single parent. Been there done that. I never imagined that life in the US could bring so many challenges. Equally, phone/computer hacking, constant planes or helicopters etc., observe and stay safe but let it go. Everyone's circumstances are different depending on one's living environment (apartments/house, city/rural), etc., so hard to share effective or value added feedback.
Fair to say that a 13 yo child is a critical phase of development that shapes their future. Love, God, Faith and Hope, Prayer, work ethic, responsibility, tough Love, dependable, trust and truth, physical and mental health to name a few. Having a support outreach is critical. There is a lot of good information on targeting, but even that too can be overwhelming. Just because one aspect of targeting affects one doesn't necessarily mean it will affect you. Educate yourself in manageable buckets.
Church is awesome for you and your son in my opinion. Never underestimate God's Word, his promises and the power of Prayer.
